American tennis player Madison Keys recently discussed her experiences as a "pro" wife. Her comments came after her third-round victory over her compatriot Danielle Collins at the 2025 Australian Open.
Keys and Bjorn Fratangelo exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in November last year, attended by close friends, and family members. Fratangelo, a former professional tennis player, is now her full-time coach.
The American was asked about her newly married life during her post-match on-court interview on Saturday in Melbourne. Keys shared that her experience has been positive so far, jokingly adding that she was the one to turn to if anyone needed marital advice.
"So far so good. Yeah it's been good. I’m a pro now. We’ve been married for about 2 months. If you need marital advice just call me. Feel like I have gotten figured out so far. But yeah it's been really good," she said.
Fratangelo posted a few pictures following their wedding on Instagram, along with a heartfelt note dedicated to his wife, Keys.
"Can’t put into words how amazing this day was. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with you @madisonkeys To everyone with us, you all made it beyond what we could have imagined. Love you all," Bjorn Fratangelo wrote.
Shifting the focus to Keys' on-court performance, she advanced to the fourth round of the Melbourne Major with a comfortable 6-4, 6-4 win over Collins. This marked the World No. 14's second win over her fellow countrywoman.
Madison Keys will face Elena Rybakina in the fourth round of the 2025 Australian Open
Madison Keys is progressing steadily in the first Major of the 2025 season. She began her campaign with a 6-4, 7-5 win over compatriot Ann Li, followed by a 7-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory over Elena Ruse, before eliminating Danielle Collins in the third. She will face 2022 Wimbledon champion and World No. 6 Elena Rybakina in the fourth round.
Sixth seed Rybakina defeated Dayana Yastremska 6-3, 6-4 in the third round on Saturday to set up her clash with the American. Keys has faced the Kazakh four times on tour, with both players having two wins apiece. However, Rybakina emerged victorious in their previous encounter at the Miami Open last year.
The winner of this match will face either Elina Svitolina or Veronika Kudermetova in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
