Nick Kyrgios continued his attack, alongside a controversial Novak Djokovic superfan, on Jannik Sinner after a video of the Italian preparing for the 2025 season was released. The Aussie has been a huge critic of the "No Significant Fault or Negligence" verdict for the World No. 1 and has been voicing his disdain since it was announced.
A fan on X (formerly Twitter) named Pavvy G, a huge critic of the verdict and a controversial Novak Djokovic fan, reacted to a video of Sinner preparing for the 2025 season, posted by Eurosport. The fan wrote,
"The whitewashing continues....."
Nick Kyrgios seconded the aforementioned user's remarks by stating they were being tried to deceive and added an injection emoji, seemingly implying Sinner's doping case.
"Why are they trying to pull the wool over our eyes 😂😩💉."
The Novak Djokovic superfan responded to Kyrgios,
"Money, power and control bro. They think they can brainwash the masses with all their propaganda," he wrote.
During the 2024 Indian Wells Masters, Sinner tested positive for the banned substance Clostebol. However, the Italian argued that the substance had entered his body via bare-handed massages from his ex-physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi, who used a healing spray, containing Clostebol, for a cut on his wound.
After an investigation, the International Tennis Integrity Agency deemed the amount of Clostebol to be not performance-enhancing following which he was cleared to continue playing. This news sent the tennis world into a frenzy. While some supported the Italian, others called out what they saw as the leniency of the verdict.
"Once you get caught you can't act like the victim" - Nick Kyrgios
Nick Kyrgios recently appeared on the latest episode of the "Nothing Major" podcast. During his conversation, he said he had nothing personal against Iga Swiatek, another player who came under fire from the tennis fraternity for her testing positive for trimetazidine this year.
However, he also said, he didn't find it fair that players, already in the upper echelons of the tennis world, would use substances to receive some "crazy aura." He said,
"That's what pisses me off. Once you get caught you can't act like the victim"
He added,
"Then this guy is rubbing cream all over his body that gives him some crazy aura. It's not fair. That's why I'm angry about it," he added.
Nick Kyrgios also opened up on his eagerness to compete with Jannik Sinner at the Australian Open and said that he would turn their match into an 'absolute riot'.
