Nick Kyrgios' recent appearance at a quirky, Australian Open-themed episode of a game show came with a wild confession from the 2022 Wimbledon finalist. During the show, Kyrgios hilariously revealed that sometimes, his buttocks become accidentally visible when he is in front of his mother Norlaila.
Recently, Kyrgios featured as a guest on an episode of "The Hundred," a fun game show hosted by comedian Andy Lee. This particular episode revolved around the ongoing 2025 Australian Open, the year's first tennis Major. In the first segment of the episode, Kyrgios was asked what percentage of the hundred virtual participants feels comfortable being naked in front of their parents.
Here, the former World No. 13 opened up about how his buttocks sometimes slip out when he happens to be in front of mother Norlaila. According to Nick Kyrgios, this typically occurs when he passes through the kitchen.
"I mean, I get my cheeks out and flip it in in front of my mom all the time, just when I walk through the kitchen. I'm going to say, I reckon above 50 (out of 100 virtual participants in the segment, who would be comfortable being nude in front of their parents). 51%, yeah, I think that they're pretty comfortable," Kyrgios told Lee. Kyrgios was born on April 27, 1995 to mother Norlaila and father George. Norlaila has royal roots, having been born into the Selangor royal family in Malaysia. However, she had to give up her title of princess because of her relocation to Australia in her twenties.
Late last year, Kyrgios penned an emotional message of gratitude to Norlaila and George, acknowledging their support throughout his career.
"I wouldn’t be the person I am today if you didn’t stay patient with me" - Nick Kyrgios' message to parents ahead of return to competitive tennis action
Through 2023 and 2024, Nick Kyrgios was only able to play a solitary match due to a series of injuries and his inability to properly recover from them. Eventually, the often-controversial Australian underwent surgery, and is currently set to return to Grand Slam action at home, at the 2025 Australian Open.
In November last year, Kyrgios took to Instagram and shared an emotional post dedicated to his parents George and Norlaila.
"None of this would be possible without your constant support….. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if you didn’t stay patient with me. I love you both," Kyrgios wrote.
The former World No. 13 has lost the only competitive singles match he has played since his return, a first-round loss to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard at the 2025 Brisbane International. At the 2025 Australian Open, Kyrgios is slated to kickstart his campaign against 23-year-old Brit, Jacob Fearnley.
