Nick Kyrgios adorably poked fun at his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi, joking about how 'she knew tennis' now. The Aussie tennis star has faced a lot of ups and downs in recent years but Hatzi has stood by him, acting as a pillar of support.

The couple made their relationship public in 2021 and have often expressed their fondness for each other on social media. Recently, Hatzi posted a few pictures on her Instagram, posing against the backdrop of stunning grass courts in Melbourne. One of the pictures also involved Tommy Paul's girlfriend Paige Lorenze.

"Game, set, match 🎾," she captioned her post.

Nick Kyrgioss saw this as an opportunity to playfully tease his girlfriend, who is a popular social media influencer and entrepreneur. The Aussie shared her post on his Instagram story and joked:

"Oh she think she know tennis now."

Though the couple may enjoy fun moments like the one above, the Aussie has mentioned the problems he faces in his relationship as a tennis star. During his appearance on the podcast 'What Now? with Trevor Noah' in January last year, Kyrgios opened up about the dark side of being in a relationship as a public figure, highlighting how they are under constant scrutiny.

"Oh, I mean, first of all, being in a relationship and like it out, I guess for anyone that’s kind of in the limelight, it’s not easy at all. Like, it’s really hard. There’s a lot of eyes on your relationship. There’s a lot of people that have their opinions, and on social media, they're commenting this or that like a lot of garbage that gets kind of fueled into it."

Kyrgios recently explicitly stated how he was happy in his relationship with Costeen Hatzi when a noted tennis journalist called him out for having a 'personal vendetta' against Jannik Sinner. The Aussie has been vehemently opposing the World No. 1's 'No Fault or Negligence' verdict after he tested positive for Clostebol.

During the latest episode of the podcast Served with Andy Roddick, Jon Wertheim felt that Nick Kyrgios' animosity towards Jannik Sinner stemmed from the Italian's relationship with Anna Kalinskaya and not from the Italian's doping controversy.

"This is just a personal vendetta. There is a woman involved here, who also happens to be a player," Wertheim said.
"But he didn't even seem to understand the doping protocols and the context to begin with which leads me to conclude this is all just a bad faith vendetta against a player who's now dating a former girlfriend and nothing more," he added.

Kyrgios was baffled by Wertheim's comment and tweeted how he was happy with Costeen Hatzi in his life and that he didn't care who Sinner dated.

"Hahaha of course - sweep sweep sweep, how is this now my fault? I couldn’t care less where sinner lays his wood 😭😂 I’m in a happy relationship 🙏🏽 I just don’t like people who are cheating the system. Roddick - never ever thought you were a sheep my guy lol," Kyrgios posted on X.

Nick Kyrgios, who made his return to tennis after over a year's hiatus due to injuries, is set to kick off his Australian Open campaign against British rising star Jacob Fearnley.
