Nick Kyrgios teased his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi over girls seemingly almost always knowing when their boyfriends are together. Kyrgios and Hatzi have been dating since December 2021.
Over the years, Hatzi has become an integral part of not just Kyrgios' personal life, but also his professional entourage. The Sydney native has regularly featured in Kyrgios' box whenever he has played since their romantic relationship blossomed. In the meantime, she has also established herself as a social media influencer, content creator, model and businesswoman.
Recently, Kyrgios, currently inactive owing to his ongoing rehabilitation from a wrist surgery, took to Instagram to poke fun at Hatzi. The former ATP World No. 13 did this by sharing a hilarious Instagram reel made by comedian Ibrahim Akbar.
The reel features Akbar portraying three roles, depicting three friends chatting in a car when suddenly, one of them says they're having a good time. The two other friends interrupt, warning the first friend not to say it out loud as their respective girlfriends will get to know that they're having fun without their partners. The first friend dismisses their caution and proceeds to say it loudly again. Their girlfriends soon start calling/texting them, leaving them feeling miserable.
Akbar captioned the reel, "When your girl knows you're having fun with the boys". Kyrgios shared it on his Instagram Story, tagged Hatzi, and opined that the video is quite accurate in what it attempts to get across to viewers.
"MOST TRUE VIDEO (five laughing out loud emojis) @costeenhatzi," Kyrgios wrote.
Nick Kyrgios delvs deep into his relationship with Costeen Hatzi
Kyrgios featured as a guest on the 'What Now? with Trevor Noah' podcast at the beginning of the year. During his conversation with Noah, the 2022 Wimbledon Championships finalist spoke about the positives of his relationship with Hatzi.
According to Kyrgios, he and Hatzi have a lot of "trust" in each other. He also confessed to the two maintaining "good boundaries".
"I think the best thing about my relationship is that we have really nice, really good boundaries, and we both respect them. We know that trust is really the only currency you have in a relationship. Once you break it, I think it’s really hard, especially in the limelight. Once it’s a little bit broken, it’s really too hard to fix. But she’s just present. I think that’s one thing that I say about my girlfriend," Kyrgios told Noah.
On the tennis front, Kyrgios is yet to confirm his return to the sport after an extended spell on the sidelines. However, the Australian has recently expressed optimism regarding potentially coming back to playing before the season comes to its conclusion.
