Nick Kyrgios aimed criticism at Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek, highlighting the doping allegations against them by revisiting one of his matches. The Australian player recently made his return to the tennis court after taking a hiatus from the sport due to injury.

Along with his tennis skills, Kyrgios is also known for voicing his opinions about various matters on social media. He has been outspoken about the doping allegations against Sinner and Swiatek of late.

Kyrgios recently took a dig at the two, and other tennis players who have been charged with doping allegations. He reshared a video of his 2015 Australian Open match, which showcased the set where he made a comeback against Andreas Seppi.

"When tennis was semi clean lol," wrote Nick Kyrgios.

The Aussie has not played a competitive match since the Stuttgart Open in June 2023, as he sustained a wrist injury and had to undergo several surgeries. He made his comeback to the court as he recently competed at the World Tennis League. He is now gearing up for the Brisbane International.

Nick Kyrgios opened up about Iga Swiatek's doping ban

Iga Swiatek tested positive for trimetazidine in August and was handed a one-month doping ban. However, her ban and doping controversy weren't spoken about in the open and were kept as a secret for some time. After she was informed about her positive test by ITIA, she appealed the provisional suspension within 10 days. Her appeal was successful, and her provisional suspension was not disclosed.

On the Nothing Major podcast, Nick Kyrgios opened up about his thoughts on Swiatek's ban and also added his views about Jannik Sinner's doping controversy.

"Honestly, it's nothing personal. Like, I've got nothing personal on Iga. I just think that it should be a level playing field for everyone and that's what pisses me off. Because I know these guys it feels like they already have an advantage because they're just Gods and then taking all these other performance enhancing drugs just like for me, it makes me angry because I know that me personally, I've never done it and I won't ever do it."

He added:

"Then this guy is rubbing cream all over his body that gives him (referring to Jannik Sinner) some crazy aura. It's not fair. That's why I'm angry about it."

Nick Kyrgios is also expected to compete in the Australian Open 2025, which is scheduled to commence on January 12, 2025, and will conclude on January 25.
