Serena Williams recently notified her fans about how she continues her work late into the night. The American said that she checks her emails and messages well past midnight.

Williams hung up her racket in 2022 at her home slam, the US Open, in an emotional farewell tour. Though she ended her illustrious career with a monumental 23 Grand Slams among numerous other accolades, the American has since ventured into various other fields.

Aside from being a mother to two daughters, the 43-year-old has kept herself busy with philanthropy, popular business ventures such as Wyn Beauty, investments in sports teams Miami Dolphins and Angel City FC, her voice acting appearances in films and TV series, a documentary series, and also writing books like The Adventures of Qai Qai, and many other things.

Boasting a net worth of about $340 million, Serena Williams often updates her fans about her life. On December 7, Williams shared with her fans how she loved being a night owl since she would get to catch up on her work. She wrote:

"I love this time of day. I get to catch up on work and emails and messages."

Another one of Williams' projects is to grow women's sports, which she works extremely hard on. Her husband Alexis Ohanian is also a huge supporter of women's sports and together, the couple tries to promote it at the highest possible level.

On December 4, Serena Williams recently spoke at the New York Times's DealBook Summit and opined how high-caliber women athletes have always existed but it was the sports fraternity that has only realized their existence just now.

"Women athletes have always been around. We’ve always been amazing and we’ve always been great. You guys are just noticing, and I think it’s important that people realize that."

Meanwhile, her husband Alexis Ohanian, who is the co-founder of Reddit, recently organized the inaugural edition of Athlos, an exclusive women-only track and field event on 26 September this year. After the massive success of the event, Ohanian mentioned how these women were finally getting the "spotlight" they deserved.
