The third set was a tense battle, with Keys ultimately prevailing 7-5. At 29, Keys became the fourth-oldest player in the Open Era to secure her first Major title.

Notably, the victory came nearly two months after her marriage to Bjorn Fratangelo. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in November of the previous year.

A page called Bastien Fachan shared the fact on X, posting a collage featuring their marriage and Australian Open victory. They captioned it:

The post, however, garnered varied opinions from the fans with one stating:

One fan responded by dismissing the post as "ridiculous," asserting that Madison Keys' marriage had no bearing on her victory.

Another fan credited Keys' hard work for her glory in Melbourne.
