Linda Noskova endorsing Andrew Tate's views on gender dynamics left tennis fans in disbelief. Tate, known for promoting toxic masculinity, gained notoriety due to his misogynistic beliefs.
Noskova last competed on the tour at the WTA 1000 China Open, commencing her campaign with a win over home favorite Fangran Tian. However, the Czech teenager was forced to withdraw from the tournament before her second-round clash against Jelena Ostapenko due to illness.
The 18-year-old recently stirred controversy by sharing a clip of Andrew Tate explaining his views on gender dynamics.
In the video, Tate made a broad comparison between women's use of makeup and men's tendency to be deceitful in romantic relationships.
"Women wear makeup because men fall in love with what they see. Men lie because women fall in love with what they hear," he said.
A fan shared the clip on social media and raised concerns about Linda Noskova endorsing Tate's views.
"The video😭.....girl wtf," the fan commented.
Another fan claimed that the 18-year-old sharing the video highlighted the lack of formal education among professional tennis players.
"Not the lack of a formal education leaking out again by tennis players....," the fan posted.
One user pointed out that Noskova was endorsing the views of Tate, who was charged with r*pe, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women, earlier this year.
"Linda sharing fancam of s*x trafficker is my last straw," the user posted.
