Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev have been predicted to win a Grand Slam in the 2025 season by John Isner, Jack Sock, Sam Querrey and Steve Johnson. The American quartet made these predictions in the recent episode of their podcast Nothing Major.

Sock questioned the group about what scenario, according to them, was most likely to happen in the 2025 season - Novak Djokovic winning his 25th Major, Alexander Zverev clinching his first, and the American players breaking their Slam-less drought.

Interestingly, none of the former American stars felt the current crop of players, including Taylor Fritz, France Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, Sebastian Korda and others, were currently capable of challenging for a Major when up against Djokovic and Zverev.

Sam Querrey and John Isner felt the Serb would conquer the unprecedented 25th Slam, given his chances at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

"If I had to bet, I'm betting Djokovic wins a Slam," Querrey said.
"I'm going to go Djokovic as well. He's got two legitimate chances with Australia and Wimbledon, given how dominant he's been at those two tournaments throughout his career," Isner opined.

However, Steve Johnson and Jack Sock had the opinion that the two-time Grand Slam finalist would finally get the job done, with Johnson feeling that Zverev would head into the Melbourne Major as one of the big favorites.

"I think I'm gonna go with Zverev. I think he might get one done early in the year in Australia. I'm sure he had a great training block in the Maldives with everyone else. So, he's going to come out hot in January, and I think he's going to get it done," Johnson said.
"I'm gonna go Zverev as well. In my mind, I think Zverev’s going to be, maybe, the first out of those categories to get it," Sock said.

Novak Djokovic recently had a chat with the Herald Sun where he expressed his desire to win the Australian Open one more time before hanging up the racket. He is an unprecedented 10-time champion in Melbourne.

“Melbourne has been the most successful city or the Australian Open the most successful grand slam I’ve had in my career. I want to keep it that way, I hope to keep going. I just hope to, before I retire, get at least one more title there and that is the goal,” he said.

He also expressed his love for the Rod Laver Arena, saying that he was looking forward to playing there once again.

“I love playing in Rod Laver Arena, the atmosphere is so good - summer time - people love their sport in Melbourne and Australia and so I should look forward to going there.’’

Novak Djokovic is slated to be the seventh seed at the 2025 Australian Open where he will be kicking off his bid to make history by becoming the first player to win 25 Grand Slam singles titles.
