During a press conference at an exhibition match in Bulgaria, Novak Djokovic said that his body had been feeling the age, which has led him to be picky about his schedule.

"I am already 37 years old, which is a serious age for a professional tennis player. I've been playing for almost 20 years and my body is feeling it more and more. That's exactly why I'm playing less often and becoming more picky about my schedule," the Serb said.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion added that he had no long-term career plan and would decide his future direction after determining how he felt.

"For the first time in my career, I have no long-term plans. I'm living for the moment and we'll see what happens. Today I will play in Sofia, then in China, and then at a demonstration tournament in Saudi Arabia. After that, I don't know. We'll see how I feel and judge," he added.

Djokovic will next be in action at the 2024 Shanghai Masters and face Alex Michelsen or Yunchaokete Bu.
