Novak Djokovic shared his thoughts on Danielle Collins' recent controversial exchange with the crowd at the 2025 Australian Open. Both players have displayed impressive form in the tournament so far.

Collins opened her campaign with a solid 7-6(4), 6-3 win over Daria Snigur before taking on local favorite Destanee Aiava in the second round. Despite constant boos from the crowd cheering against her, she maintained her composure to secure the victory.

Following her victory, the American cupped her hand to her ear, blowing kisses to silence her critics. She also taunted the crowd with a 'paycheck' remark and even made a bold 'kiss my a**' gesture.

Many tennis personalities have shared their thoughts on the incident and Novak Djokovic is the latest to chime in. After his third-round win over Tomas Machac on Friday, January 17, he admitted he loved Danielle Collins' response to the crowd, revealing that he had already been a fan of hers but now admired her even more.

"I loved her response. I loved everything she said on the court and off the court. Big fan of Danielle Collins after that. I was before, but now, big fan. I love it," he said.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion praised Collins for handling the situation with poise, admitting he wasn't sure if he could stay as calm in her shoes. He also called her response both "funny and smart."

"I mean, I heard some comments from people that she shouldn't have said that or that. I think she handled it really well. I don't think I would be that polite, but then I know exactly the feeling. So, I think she was funny, smart, and just... big fan of what she did," Djokovic said.
