Novak Djokovic was recently featured in a cover shoot for the first time for Vogue Magazine. The images received a positive reaction from his wife Jelena on social media.
Djokovic is currently playing at Wimbledon 2024 where he has reached the semifinals. The seven-time Wimbledon champion was set to face Alex de Minaur but the Australian withdrew due to a hip injury, giving Djokovic an automatic advancement into the final four.
Amid his Wimbledon campaign, the Serb was featured on the cover of Vogue Adria's summer 2024 issue. He looked elegant in the three cover images, posing in various vintage outfits - two against the backdrop of a trophy cabinet and one in a green bathrobe while sitting on an indoor cycle.
The images received a positive reaction from his wife, Jelena on Instagram. While she shared all the cover images on her Instagram stories, she shared her thoughts regarding one where Novak can be seen on a recliner, holding a drink in hand, with the trophy cabinet behind him.
Jelena mentioned Novak's Instagram handle in her story and wrote:
"Come on, man." (translated from Serbo-Croatian)
Novak Djokovic has joined the ranks of tennis players like Serena Williams, Alexander Zverev, Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur and Jannik Sinner who have all previously graced the cover.
Novak Djokovic is set to face Lorenzo Musetti in the Wimbledon 2024 semifinal
Despite recovering from a recent knee injury, Novak Djokovic is determined to end his trophy drought as he heads to his 49th Major semifinal. The Serb defeated Vit Kopriva, Jacob Fearnley, Alexei Popyrin and Holger Rune before advancing to the semifinals due to Alex de Minaur's walkover.
In addition to aiming for his first trophy of the 2024 season, Djokovic is also poised to set a new record as a potentially 25-time Grand Slam champion.
But before reaching the final, he faces a promising opponent in Lorenzo Musetti on Friday, July 12. The 22-year-old has had a decent grasscourt campaign, reaching the semifinals and final of the BOSS Open and the Queen's Club Championships, respectively.
Musetti then reached his first Major semifinal after winning an exhausting five-setter against Taylor Fritz. Before this, he defeated players such as Constant Lestienne, Luciano Darderi, Fernando Comesana and Giovanni Mpetschi Perricard.
Djokovic holds a commanding 5-1 head-to-head advantage over the 22-year-old and won their most recent encounter at the 2024 French Open. The winner of this match will face either defending champion Carlos Alcaraz or Daniil Medvedev in the final.
