Coco Gauff had a busy 2024, and after wrapping up her year, she's already working hard at her preseason training. The American recently gave fans an insight into her exhausting practice sessions as she completed her last workout of the week.
For Gauff, this season had its ups and downs, but she ended the year on a high after a title finish at the WTA Finals in Riyadh. Despite slipping out of the top 5 in the rankings after the US Open, she ended 2024 as the World No.3.
Now, the tennis star has begun her prep for the upcoming season, and she gave fans a behind-the-scenes look into her training. Taking to her Instagram stories, Coco Gauff shared a snap of herself smiling, and wrote,
“Smiling but dying inside. Last workout of the week 🙏🏼😭.”
Gauff began her 2024 competing at the Australian Open, where she reached the semifinals. She then enjoyed a streak of strong performances, reaching the semifinals at the BNP Paribas Open, Internazionali BNL d'Italia, French Open, and ecotrans Ladies Open.
However, a dip in form saw her make early exits at all tournaments in July and August, including Wimbledon, the Paris Olympics, and the US Open. However, the American got back to her winning ways before the end of the year, clinching titles at the China Open WTA 1000 and the WTA Finals.

For Coco Gauff, her outing at the WTA Finals couldn't have gone better. In the group stage matches, she defeated the likes of Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, and Barbora Krejcikova in straight sets. Up next, she took down Arya Sabalenka in the semifinals before outdoing Qinwen Zheng in the finals to lift the trophy.
Reflecting on her win, the 20-year-old penned a short note on Instagram, writing,
“Tyler tried to tell y'all. In all seriousness, I'm so grateful for all the support the last few weeks. Getting to win the last tournament of the season and it also being my second biggest title of my career so far is insane. Wow WTA FINALS CHAMPION All glory to God truthfully I’m eternally grateful for the life I get to live and to have moments like this makes all of the hours/sacrifice I put into this worth it. time to rest for a little bit but then it's back to grind for next years szn.”
Now, after her triumphant end to 2024, Coco Gauff has begun to train for the upcoming year. The youngster has won a single major title in her career so far and will be looking to add to that list in 2025.
