Tennis fans on the internet were amused to notice Carlos Alcaraz repeating outfits during an event he attended ahead of the distinguished US Open. He was accompanied by Elena Rybakina.
The US Open main draw action will begin on Monday, August 26, at Flushing Meadows. Alcaraz has entered the men's singles draw as the third seed, whereas Rybakina is seeded fourth on the women's side.
The duo graced a pickleball event in New York ahead of the distinguished tournament. Alcaraz opted for a semi-formal attire as he donned a polo shirt.
A fan on X (formerly Twitter) shared a post about recognizing the shirt and shared pictures of the Spaniard wearing it in Paris on during the Olympic Games and in Ohio during the Cincinnati Masters.
"Bro is this the only dress shirt he brought to the NY [New York]," the fan wrote.
Another fan suggested the four-time Grand Slam champion has been running short of shirts since the Games, writing:
"I’m convinced that’s the only shirt he has in his suitcase since Paris."
Here are a few more fan reactions:
"Lizzie mcguire you are an outfit repeater," a fan stated.
"We all have our favorite shirts. This boy’s no different," a fan commented.
"I'm pretty sure he got 20 of those but yeah he should have brought at least 5 different ones lol," a fan remarked.
"Might be a gift from Emma, who knows," a fan wrote.
Carlos Alcaraz, Elena Rybakina up against Australians in their respective first-round matches at 2024 US Open
Carlos Alcaraz and Elena Rybakina will start their respective 2024 US Open campaigns with matches against Australians in the first round.
