Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, flaunted his new mullet hairstyle at the Cannes Lions 2024. The Reddit co-founder talked about the potential of women's sports, among other things, at the event.

Cannes Lions 2024 is an event dedicated to the advertising and creative communications industry. It was a five-day event that brought together 15,000 delegates from 90 countries. Many award ceremonies took place, along with an opening and closing gala.

Alexis Ohanian graced this event on day three and talked about the reasons for parting ways with Reddit co-founders, building communities on social media platforms, and investing in women's sports.

Ohanian rocked a mullet hairstyle at this event, calling it a party at the back.

"That's right: business in the front, party in the back." — @776fund took over @cannes_lions," Alexis Ohanian wrote on Instagram.

He also uploaded some stories about his latest hairstyle. Posing with his hairstylist, he wrote:

Alexis Ohanian is a big investor in women's sports. He and his wife, Williams, are stakeholders in the NWSL franchise Angel City FC. Recently, he also launched a women-only track and field event, the 776 Invitational.

He talked about his recent investment in track and field at the Business of Women's Sports Summit. The Reddit co-founder warned against dismissing his investment as a 'charity'.

“I never want it to be misconstrued as, ‘Oh, it’s because he’s a girl-dad or it’s because he’s Serena’s husband or it’s for charity,’” No, that’s what’s held this sh*t back," Alexis Ohanian said.

Ohanian said he invested because he saw a tremendous opportunity in women's sports.

"First and foremost, I’m here because I think it is great, and I invest in greatness. If it just so happens it inspires a generation of young girls, awesome. I want to keep investing across all these elements of sport, and the women’s game continues to be where there’s tremendous upside,” he said.

He also revealed his ambitious plans to expand the event to a league or a tour if the people turn up in numbers.

“I’m not a small thinker. We’re trying to be ambitious here, but one at a time. If this goes as well as I think it will, and folks show up and show out the way I know they will, this won’t be the last. If folks show up like I think they will, [a league or a tour] sounds like a great idea,” he said.

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian also have a stake in a golf franchise, LA Golf Club, in the TGL Golf tournament.
