Paula Badosa's boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas recently reacted to the Spaniard's beach getaway following her exit from the 2025 Australian Open. Badosa had an impressive run at the Melbourne Major, reaching the semifinals before being defeated by eventual runner-up Aryna Sabalenka.

Seeded 11th at the Australian Open this year, Badosa started her campaign with victories over Xinyu Wang 6-3, 7-6(5) in the first round and Australian wild card Talia Gibson 6-1, 6-0 in the second round. She then went on to triumph over 17th seed Marta Kostyuk, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and registered a win over Olga Danilovic 6-1, 7-6(2) in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.

In the quarterfinals, Badosa secured a victory over third seed Coco Gauff, winning 7-5, 6-4. She faced two-time Australian Open champion, Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals, where her journey came to an end with a 4-6, 2-6 loss.

Since her time in Melbourne, Paula Badosa has travelled to Dubai for some well-deserved relaxation. She took to social media to share a series of photos of her beach retreat with her sister, Jana Badosa.

“Recharging 🩵 ☀️ ," Badosa captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to Badosa's post, her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas, left a comment, writing:

Before beginning her campaign at the 2025 Australian Open, Paula Badosa participated in the 2025 Brisbane International where she was defeated by Elina Avanesyan in her opening match. Following this, the Spaniard competed at the Adelaide International, where she was defeated by lucky loser Ashlyn Krueger in the second round.

While speaking during her post-match on-court interview after her third-round win at the 2025 Australian Open, Paula Badosa expressed her gratitude for having boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas in her player's box. She said that having the Greek was good for her as he had been incredibly supportive and had provided her with "amazing tips" to improve her game.

Badosa also humorously shared that Tsitsipas often gets more nervous than she does during her matches.

“Yeah, he was very supportive, giving me amazing tips like going for being aggressive. He was supporting me every point. I think he was more nervous than me but I really appreciate that, his support here. Also you guys [the crowd] were amazing today. I see Spanish flags here,” Badosa said.

In contrast, Stefanos Tsitsipas did not have a successful run at the 2025 Australian Open. He was seeded 11th in the tournament and suffered a first-round defeat to Alex Michelsen 5-7, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6.

Tsitsipas' best performance at the Grand Slam tournament was in 2023 when he finished as the runner-up, falling to Novak Djokovic in the final.
