Paula Badosa shares adorable memory of her with boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas as she names him as "a special person" in her life

Paula Badosa shared a picture of her boyfriend and fellow tennis star, Stefanos Tsitsipas, indicating him as the "special person" in her life, in a social media post. Badosa also shared some of her plans for the upcoming US Open, where she will seemingly partner with Tsitsipas in a mixed doubles exhibition.

Badosa, who is currently ranked No. 65 in the world, has been dating Tsitsipas, the World No. 12, since mid-2023. The couple has been spotted together at various tournaments and events and often posts pictures and videos of each other on their social media accounts.

In a recent Q&A session with her followers on Instagram, Badosa revealed some details about her personal life and her professional goals. When asked by a fan to name ''a special person'' for her, the Spaniard shared a picture of herself with Tsitsipas, both of them smiling in what appears to have been a picture taken around a tennis session.

Another fan asked her about her biggest goal in life, to which she responded that she wants to use her social media platform to help people improve their lives. She said that coming from humble beginnings, she finds immense fulfillment in being able to help others.

The 26-year-old also shared a picture where she can be seen wearing a t-shirt with messages from the Tennis Rwanda Children's Foundation. The non-profit's website says it helps to create opportunities through tennis for children in need in Rwanda. (via trcfic.org)

"Through my platform... to give all I can and try to help people to have a better life. I came from nothing so for me being in a position now that I can help others ... fulfill me the most," Badosa wrote.

Badosa also expressed some excitement about her seeming upcoming participation along with Tsitsipas in a mixed doubles contest called 'The US Open Mixed Madness', which will take place on August 20 at Arthur Ashe Stadium as a part of the Fan Week before this year’s US Open. The mixed exhibition will also feature other star pairs such as Naomi Osaka and Nick Kyrgios, Aryna Sabalenka and Taylor Fritz, and Coco Gauff and Ben Shelton

The former World No. 2 shared a poster of the event and replied "soon" to a fan who asked when they could see her and Tsitsipas playing together.

Badosa’s recent Instagram interactions come after a decent performance at Wimbledon, where she reached the Round of 16 for the third time in her career. She defeated Karolina Muchova, Brenda Fruhvirtova, and 14th seed Daria Kasatkina before falling to eventual semifinalist Donna Vekic 6-2, 1-6, 6-4.

Paula Badosa has earlier shared her hope of continuing her relationship with her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas for as long as he desires.

In a September 2023 interview with SDNA Newsroom, Badosa opened up about the bond she shares with Tsitsipas, referring to him as her "best friend."

"I want to be with him as long as he wants. We have an incredible relationship, first of all we are best friends, and I think that is very important," Badosa said.

During the interview, Badosa spoke fondly of Tsitsipas, mentioning that she had been following his career. The Spaniard spoke affectionately spoke of Tsitsipas, highlighting her affinity for his personality.

"I will be honest. He's someone I've always followed, because I really liked his style of play, but I also liked his appearance because he's a very charming man," Paula Badosa said.
"Also, when I listened to his interviews I felt that he is different," she added. "But we never spoke. When we finally started talking, I discovered this amazing man, with an amazing soul. At first, I didn't expect this, but when I got to know him better I was really surprised and now I'm very happy that we are together."

Tsitsipas is currently participating in the EFG Swiss Open in Gstaad, Switzerland, as the top seed. The Greek received a bye into the Round of 16 where he defeated Hamad Medjedovic 7-6(6), 6-3. The World No. 12 will take on seventh seed Fabio Fognini in the quarterfinals on July 19.
