Belinda Bencic recently shared an adorable picture of a gym session where she was joined by her daughter, Bella. Six months after the birth of her daughter, Bencic made her return to the court in October this year and played in the W75 Hamburg, where she defeated Julia Avdeeva in the Round of 32.
Attending the game was her boyfriend, Martin Hromkovic, and daughter cheering for the Swiss player at the W75 Hamburg. The couple welcomed their daughter, Bella to their family on April 23, 2024.
The 27-year-old announced her pregnancy via social media last year in November, and a year later, she gave a glimpse of her balancing her professional and personal life.
In an Instagram story shared on Saturday, November 23, Belinda Bencic was seen indulging in an adorable workout session alongside her daughter in the gym. The 2019 U.S Open semifinalist was seen bench pressing, while her daughter Bella was lying on the ground behind her.
"Training together💪"
The last time Belinda played before her maternity break was in 2023 in the San Diego Open. The Swiss failed to advance after losing to Aliaksandra Sasnovich, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, at the Barnes Stadium on September 12.
Belinda Bencic opened up about how her daughter comes to the training with her
In the post-match interview after the W75 Hamburg win on October 30, 2024, Belinda Bencic spoke about her daughter Bella's arrival in her life. She revealed that she can focus on her discipline as Bella is a very 'happy' baby.
"We have cherished every second with Bella. She is a very happy baby. She lets me sleep at night and comes with us to the court or during training. This way, I can fully focus on my discipline," she said.
Further brushing up on slowly getting back into 'rhythm', Bencic added:
"At home, we've managed to find our rhythm. Now, it's about adjusting that to the ATP and WTA schedule. This is the first time she's flying. I'm not seeking perfection just yet, but I need to see where my weaknesses lie. I had to listen to my body and take it easy."
Before taking a hiatus due to her pregnancy, Belinda Bencic also competed in the US Open 2023, where she suffered a fourth-round defeat to Sorana Cirstea in straight sets at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
