Swiss inactive tennis player, Belinda Bencic, stepped out for a "girls' night out" with her newborn daughter, Bella, whom she and her long-time boyfriend Martin Hromkovic welcomed in April 2024. The couple had shared their celebration following the arrival of their firstborn in an Instagram post.
Bencic has held a career-high ranking of No. 4 and a junior ranking of No. 1. She lifted eight women's singles titles, including an Olympic gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Her trophy count also includes two doubles titles. She was close to a Grand Slam final at the 2019 US Open, having reached her first Grand Slam semifinals after defeating Naomi Osaka.
Bencic announced her pregnancy in November 2023, having earlier withdrawn from the WTA 1000 Guadalajara Open Akron in September. Her Instagram post featured her and Martin Hromkovic holding a pair of baby shoes.
"Expecting our little miracle soon! ✨🍼 We can’t wait to meet you," the caption read.
The 41-year-old Hromkovic, who serves as Bencic's fitness coach, announced the arrival of their baby daughter on Instagram.
"Bella , 23.4.2024. Our love," the caption read.
The post showed Bella's little fingers clutching Hromkovic's finger.
In a recent Instagram post, Bencic shared a picture with her newborn in a pram. Donning a floral white dress, Bencic looked to be on a stroll with her family.
The post was captioned:

Belinda Bencic shares how perspective changed after first child's birth
Belinda Bencic had been solely focused on tennis until daughter Bella graced her life in April this year, she says.
In an interview with NZZ, when asked about the new change in her life and how she plans to navigate it, the 27-year-old opened up about her realization of life beyond sport.
"I can now put many things into perspective better. Tennis was my life and the sport is still important to me. But I now know that there is more to life than just the life on the court. At the same time, I approach all questions related to my career in a more relaxed and less tense manner," she said (translated from German).
Bencic added:
"When I am on the court, I concentrate one hundred percent on tennis. At the same time, I am always happy to go home afterwards and immerse myself in my new life, where everything no longer revolves around a yellow ball."
Bencic also shared that Bella is her life at the moment. The Swiss also talked about having resumed practice after childbirth, though she didn't say anything about a return to the court.
