Petra Kvitova shared a glimpse of a fun day out with her son Petr. Kvitova was last seen on the court at the 2023 China Open, losing to Liudmila Samsonova in the second round.

Kvitova had a successful season in 2023, making her first Miami Open semi-finals and then defeating 10th seed Elena Rybakina in straight sets to clinch the title in the final, taking the 30th singles title of her career. This triumph catapulted her to the top 10 for the first time since September 2021.

The two-time Grand Slam winner took to her social media on 2024 New Year's Day to announce her pregnancy with her coach and husband Jiri Vanek. The couple posed with an adorable romper with the words 'Courage Belief Pojd' printed on the chest and captioned:

"On the first day of 2024 I wanted to wish you a happy new year and share the exciting news that Jiri and I will be welcoming a baby into our family this summer!"

On July 7, 2024, Vanek and his mentee brought Petr into the world and the latter posted the couple's first picture with their newborn on social media.

"Petr 07.07.24" her caption read.

In a recent Instagram post, Petra Kvitova and her son Petr stepped out for a memorable day, taking a stroll at Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa in Maldives. The two-time Grand Slam champion captioned:

"Making unforgettable memories with our little boy in paradise."

In July 2023, Kvitova and her long-time partner Jiri Vanek tied the knot in the Czech Republic after announcing their engagement at the 2022 Wimbledon tournament.

Currently, an inactive player, the 34-year-old Petra Kvitova shared her difficult childbirth via an emergency cesarean section and post-partum experiences in an interview with a Czech portal LP-Life cz in October this year. She said:

"I'm still a few kilos up but it's slowly coming back down so hopefully it'll be the way it should be soon. I thought the birth would be better but it was ordeal and I ended up having an emergency c-section so it wasn't quite nice."

She further noted that the decision of her tennis return depended on her family and her mental and physical well-being.

"I have it open now, also because of how I ended up with the c-section. I didn't say so either, so I'm keeping it open as to how it will turn out for me, both mentally and physically. After all, I'm not the youngest anymore and we have a son, so it's more of a family decision, at the moment. We'll see how it all goes."

Kvitova reached the final of the 2019 Australian Open but lost to Japanese player Naomi Osaka. The 34-year-old also has two Grand Slam semifinal appearances at the 2012 and 2020 French Open.
