German tennis legend Boris Becker was mesmerized and felt proud after watching his daughter Anna Ermakova's performance at a dance show on Friday, February 17.

Ermakova, 22, made her debut in a German dance competition television series called Let's Dance, held in Cologne. Although she was part of a group that performed a slow waltz, the judges and the audience could not take their eyes off her as she stood out and received the highest number of points. She was also rewarded with a wildcard, which shields her from facing eviction in the next show.

The six-time Grand Slam champion took to social media to congratulate Ermakova, an upcoming model, and stated that he was a proud father.

"Proud dad! Well done Anna Ermakova, @letsdance," Becker wrote on social media.

In January, Ermakova took to social media to reveal that she was going to participate in the show and finally follow her passion. However, she added that she was nervous about performing in front of so many people.

"I am so excited to rediscover my long-lost passion. I've never danced professionally, but I've always dreamed of doing so. I'm looking forward to improving my German and getting to know a lot of great new people," Ermakova said.

The 55-year-old former World No. 1 was sent to jail in the UK in April 2022 for hiding assets and loans worth £2.5m in order to avoid paying his debts. After spending eight months in prison, Becker was released in December and deported from Great Britain. He revealed that his bond with Ermakova strengthened during his time in jail.

"I have never spoken to my daughter so often and regularly. It took a prison for us to become so close," Becker said.

Three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker, who had been living in London since 2012, faced imprisonment last year after declaring bankruptcy. After serving eight months of his 2.5-year sentence, the former German star was released and deported from the country.

He recently met the youngest of the four children — Amadeus Benedict Edley Luis Becker, a 13-year-old boy — for the first time since his release. Becker and his son were in touch over the phone, but hadn't seen each other in over 10 months.

“We haven’t seen each other in over 10 months because of my circumstances,” Becker wrote. “Just hearing his voice on the phone was not enough and words cannot describe the feeling of holding him again in my arms.”
