Tommy Paul's girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, recently celebrated his victory in the men's doubles bronze medal match alongside Taylor Fritz at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With their win, Fritz and Paul became the sixth American team to secure a men's doubles medal since the return of the Olympic tennis event in 1988.
Paul and Fritz were seeded third in the men's doubles event and they kicked off their campaign by defeating the Canadian duo of Milos Raonic and Felix Auger-Aliassime 7-6(14), 6-4 in the first round. They then overcame the Dutch pair of Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-3, 6-4 in the second round.
In the quarterfinals, the American duo triumphed over Great Britain's Daniel Evans and Andy Murray 6-2, 6-4 to secure their spot in the semifinals at Roland Garros. Incidentally, this was Murray's final professional tournament, thus he retired after the match.
However, Paul and Fritz's winning streak at the men's doubles came to an end when they were defeated 5-7, 2-6 by the eventual gold medalist Australian pair of John Peers and Matthew Ebden.
Paul and Fritz bounced back from the loss to defeat the Czech pair of Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and 10 minutes to secure the bronze Olympic medals. Meanwhile, another American pair, Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram, fell to Peers and Ebden in the final, earning silver for the United States of America.
Following their victory, Paul took to social media to share a series of photos from the bronze medal match with Fritz, including a picture of them holding their medals.
"Dug up some bronze with my brother @taylor_fritz 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️," Paul captioned his Instagram post.
Paul's girlfriend Paige Lorenze later took to social media and shared the world No.13's post and expressed pride in his accomplishment and stated that she was proud of him "today and always."
"What an accomplishment!! 🤍 🇺🇸 So proud today and always," Lorenze captioned her Instagram story.
