Roger Federer wiggles his way into Carlos Alcaraz & Ben Shelton's biggest highlights of 2024: Here's how

Roger Federer was included in the 2024 highlights of both Carlos Alcaraz and Ben Shelton's. The Swiss retired from tennis in 2022 but has still been attending tournaments.

In 2024, Federer was in attendance at Wimbledon, the Laver Cup and the Shanghai Masters. During the latter tournament, he even had a practice session with Carlos Alcaraz."

Alcaraz recently shared a series of pictures on an Instagram post, where he highlighted several of his best moments from 2024. These included a picture with Roger Federer, who also had his father and older brother Alvaro.

The other pictures Alcaraz shared included ones of his triumphs at the French Open, Wimbledon, Indian Wells and China Open. He also shared an image of himself and Rafael Nadal competing at the Paris Olympics. The Spaniard captioned his post:

"2024… not bad at all! happy New Year!"

Federer was also included in Ben Shelton's highlights from 2024. The American's image was one of him having dinner with the 20-time Grand Slam champion. Other images included in Shelton's post included one of him interacting with Jon Bon Jovi at the Miami Open and one of him training with Rafael Nadal.

Ben Shelton endorses ON, which is backed by Roger Federer, for apparel and shoes. Iga Swiatek and Joao Fonseca are other players who are sponsored by the brand.

Carlos Alcaraz spoke about his experience of practicing with Roger Federer in Shanghai, claiming that it was a dream for him.

"It was an unbelievable experience for me. Having the chance to play with him, it was great. I just enjoyed so much, every shot, watching him playing the shots so easily. It was a dream. It was a great experience," the Spaniard told Eurosport.

Alcaraz went on to reach the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters after defeating Shang Juncheng, Wu Yibing and Gael Monfils. Here, he lost 6-7(5), 5-7 to 30th seed Tomas Machac.

Roger Federer was in attendance at the Shanghai Masters to compete in a celebrity doubles exhibition match. The Swiss partnered with Chinese actor Eason Chan, and the pair were up against Zhang Zhizhen and table tennis star Fan Zhengdong, who has won three Olympic gold medals during his career so far.

Before retiring from tennis in 2022, Federer enjoyed an incredible career, that included 20 Grand Slam singles titles.
