Sebastian Korda recently spoke about his feelings for his sisters, Nelly and Jasmine Korda, and his parents, Petr and Regina Korda. He revealed the impact that his family has had on him in his career.

The American player was scheduled to commence his 2025 season by competing at the Brisbane International; however, he pulled out ahead of his first round against Arthur Cazaux on December 31, 2024, and hasn't issued any official statement yet. Now, the player is geared up to compete at the Adelaide International and recently appeared in the pre-tournament interview, where he spoke about his family and their impact on him.

Sebastian belongs to a family with a sports background, as both his sisters, Nelly and Jessica, are renowned golf players, and his parents, Petr and Regina, are also former tennis players. Emphasizing this factor, the American tennis player said that his family helps him in the sport when asked if they shared tips among themselves.

"Yeah, it's different sports from tennis to golf. Both an individual sport, so there's some similarities, for sure," Sebastian said. "You definitely go through some things throughout your career that my sisters can help me with or I can help my sisters with. I think that's a great thing to have. Both my parents have gone through everything I've gone through in my career. Just a lot of great people to have on your corner. Just a lot of support from my family. It's a lot of fun to share these moments with them."

The 24-year-old concluded his 2024 season at the US Open as he retired in the second round after facing elbow issues. He underwent surgery in October 2024 for his injury.

Sebastian Korda opened up about his mother, Regina Korda, shaping his tennis career

In a press conference of the 2024 Mubadala Citi DC Open, Sebastian Korda stated that his mother, Regina Korda, helped him shape his tennis career. He also mentioned that his father, Petr, was focused on his sister Jessica's golf career. He credited his mother, saying that he spent most of his time on the tennis court with her.

"I'd say my mom basically shaped my technique and the way that I play tennis in a way. Growing up, my oldest sister was just on the LPGA Tour, and my dad was her caddie for the first two or three years. He traveled most of the year with my older sister," Sebastian Korda said.

He added:

"I would spend a bunch of time with my mom on the tennis court. She definitely shaped the way I play tennis. She's incredible. She's kind of the rock of our family. She keeps us all grounded. She knows how special it is to play a professional sport."

Sebastian Korda recently praised his older sister, Nelly Korda, for nabbing the Annika event, which was her seventh tournament win of the 2024 season. The American tennis player has won two ATP singles titles and one doubles title.
