Sebastian Korda recently stepped spoke about his mental state amid his long injury break from tennis. The American has not played a single match since the US Open and recently announced his withdrawal from the Brisbane International.
After the New York Major, the American was forced to take a break, stating that a concerning issue with his elbow which required immediate surgery. However, the update concluded on a positive note as the 24-year-old made it clear that "everything went well" and he feels ready to be back on the courts.
In a pre-tournament press conference at the Adelaide International, Sebastian Korda talked about his injury-prone phase.
"Definitely pretty pissed off. You try to move on as fast as possible, surround yourself with good people, try to stay positive," he said.
Along with stating the troubles, the ATP star remained calm, accepting the fact that injuries can be a part of the journey with a regular process.
"But yeah, I guess it's a long process. I guess it's one that every athlete goes through. Yeah, you just try to deal with it the best you can," the American added.
Sebastian Korda was supposed to begin his season with a showdown against Arthur Kazaux at the Brisbane International. However, just hours before his entry, the 24-year-old announced his withdrawal from the event. He is all set to return to action at the Adelaide International, which will also feature the likes of Tommy Paul, Felix Auger Aliassime, among others.

Shortly after his withdrawal from the Brisbane International, Sebastian Korda was seen visiting the Adelaide Zoo along with his girlfriend Ivana Nedved. The two were seen enjoying the adventurous sights of the zoo and they also explored the area while witnessing various animal exhibits to their delight.
Although the 2024 season brought challenges to Sebastian Korda's way, he managed to balance it out by securing a doubles win alongside Jordan Thompson at the Mutua Madrid Open. Bagging approximated $2.19 in prize money, the ATP star managed to conclude the season on a satisfactory note.
