Sebastian Korda's girlfriend Ivana Nedved recently shared a breathtaking picture of her "last" sunset in Florida. She shared the image on social media and hinted at her plans to return home, leaving behind a warm Floridian farewell.
In her latest Instagram story, shared on December 1, 2024, Nedved posted a photograph that encapsulated the beauty of a Floridian sunset. The sky transitioned from blue to warm hues, with scattered clouds illuminated by the setting sun. Silhouetted palm trees added a picturesque touch to the scene, while a serene body of water reflected the vibrant colors of the sky.
"One last FL sunset for this year," Ivana captioned the picture, suggesting her imminent departure for her home.
Ivana Nedved, the 28-year-old daughter of Czech soccer icon Pavel Nedved, has often been a source of support for Korda, accompanying him to tournaments and cheering him on from the stands. The two have been in a relationship since 2021.
An alumna of King's College in London, where she earned a Master's in International Marketing, Ivana has a rich professional background, having worked with renowned brands like Vogue Italia, Conde Nast, Alfa Romeo, and more.
Sebastian Korda hails girlfriend Ivana Nedved for helping him unwind away from tennis
In a July interview with the Daily Express, Sebastian Korda highlighted the significant role his girlfriend, Ivana Nedved, plays in his life.
Korda expressed gratitude for her understanding and noted how fortunate he felt to have her in his life. He said:
"I mean she understands, the best thing is she understands sports which is great," Korda said. "She understands how difficult it is to be a professional athlete and that there’s a lot of sacrifices."
"She’s an amazing partner to have and I’m very lucky to have someone that just understands it and always is trying to be there and just always being there is probably the biggest key," he added.
Korda explained that Ivana helps him unwind from tennis and is empathetic to the difficulties that come with being a professional athlete.
"I’m very appreciative whenever she comes and we have a lot of fun together, she takes my mind off of tennis and we have fun and can relax and go sightseeing a little bit and just be normal in a way when you’re outside the tennis courts and it’s massive for any athlete just to take their mind off of things and just be fresh and ready to go whenever you go back out there and practice," he said.
Since his second-round exit at the 2024 US Open, Sebastian Korda has been out of action and recently underwent elbow surgery. Despite this setback, 2024 has been a standout year for the American tennis star.
The 24-year-old captured singles and doubles titles at the Citi Open in Washington, D.C., and the Madrid Masters (with partner Jordan Thompson) respectively. Additionally, Korda made it to the final at the 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, where he was defeated 2-6, 4-6 by Alex de Minaur.
