American tennis star Sebastian Korda made a delightful public appearance in Adelaide with his girlfriend Ivana Nedved ahead of his 2025 Adelaide Open campaign. Following his mystery withdrawal from Brisbane International, Korda was spotted enjoying a relaxed day out at the Adelaide Zoo. The couple took time to explore the animal exhibits and share joyful moments feeding a hippopotamus.

Korda, who has been sidelined since his second-round exit at the 2024 US Open due to persistent elbow issues, underwent surgery in October to address his injury. The 24-year-old had planned to kickstart his 2025 campaign at the Brisbane International, an ATP 250 event, but withdrew mere hours before his first-round match against Arthur Cazaux.

His decision to also withdraw from the doubles competition, where he was slated to team up with Grigor Dimitrov, added to the mystery. The abrupt change left lucky loser Dusan Lajovic stepping in for the singles draw. Notably, Korda is yet to issue an official statement explaining his withdrawal.

Now, all eyes are on the American in Adelaide, where he hopes to make a strong return to the tour. In the meantime, his light-hearted visit to the Adelaide Zoo with Ivana Nedved has captured fans' attention.

Videos and pictures shared by the couple showcase them enjoying the zoo’s highlights, including a hands-on moment with a hippopotamus and snapshots of various animals.

Sebastian Korda made his debut at the 2023 Adelaide International 1, where he advanced to the final. Along the way, Korda defeated Andy Murray, Roberto Bautista Agut, Jannik Sinner, and Yoshihito Nishioka before falling to tennis legend Novak Djokovic 7-6(8), 6-7(3), 4-6.

In the following year, the American triumphed over Lorenzo Sonego and Christopher O'Connell to reach the semifinals, but was defeated 2-6, 1-6 by eventual champion Jiri Lehecka.

This year, Korda is set to make his third appearance at the ATP 250 event. He has been seeded second, just behind fellow American Tommy Paul, and has received a bye into the second round. The official tournament draw has yet to be released.

In other news, Serena and Venus Williams' childhood coach, Rick Macci, recently shared an ambitious forecast about Sebastian Korda's potential to win a Grand Slam in the 2025 season.
