Serena Williams' $150,000,000-worth husband Alexis Ohanian sends valuable 'fatherhood' message to billionaires

Millionaire Alexis Ohanian, who is married to tennis legend Serena Williams and fathered two girls, seven-year-old Olympia and one-year-old Adira, with the Grand Slam winner, has a special message for billionaires: be a good father.

Ohanian, 41, rose to prominence in 2005 when he co-founded the social media site Reddit with Steve Huffman. The platform was immediately successful, and Ohanian became a millionaire the following year when it was sold to Conde Nast Publications for an undisclosed sum between $10 million and $20 million.

The entrepreneur, now worth $150 million (per Celebrity Net Worth), disclosed that he recently spent time with some emerging entrepreneurs. Besides asking him about business and finance, many of them also showed curiosity about about his experiences as a father.

"I spent a couple days in the country with a few dozen next gen entrepreneurs, all dudes in their 20s/30s and it was inspiring to hear how many of them didn’t wanna (just) ask me about creating reddit, tech investing, or building sports teams — but about FATHERHOOD," Ohanian wrote on X.

In a follow-up post, Ohanian stressed that the world would be better off if people prioritized excelling in fatherhood as much as they did in business.

"If more future and current billionaires were more open about wanting to excel as a father as much as in business, we’d all be better off," he wrote.

Since stepping away from Reddit, Ohanian has gained a reputation as an astute investor. He has also championed philanthropic causes and is playing a key role in promoting women's sports.

His venture capital firm "776" recently launched "Athlos," an event designed to showcase women's track and field more often than the Summer Olympics. Last month, Alexis Ohanian announced the largest donation in the history of the University of Virginia (UVA) women's basketball program.

Alexis Ohanian, who has a large following on social media, often shares tidbits from his life as a father online. During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Ohanian revealed that his favourite part of being a "girl dad" is learning about their unique qualities.

"My favourite part of being a girl dad is that I get to learn all these wonderful, unique, different things that make my little girls, little girls," Alexis Ohanian posted on Instagram. And I grew up with sisters, I am obviously a dude, and I am a very proud girl dad."

"Because they are just, they are different and its awesome. I feel like I am always learning something new," he added.

Recently, he shared that his girls are his motivation for working out and staying fit.
