Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, expressed dissatisfaction with the United States Congress trading report of 2024, featuring numerous politicians from both Parties.
Unusual Whales recently created a report on stock trading activities by U.S. Congress members in 2024. Moreover, they shared the report on X, which noted that from the start of 2024 to its end, many members engaged in unusual trades and achieved significant portfolio gains.
Notable names leading the list included Republican David Rouzer, Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Oregon’s senior U.S. Senator, Ron Wyden:
"I just released the full report on Congress trading in 2024. Like every year since 2020, some US politicians beat the market. From the start of 2024 to year end, many had unusual trades & huge portfolio gains. Here are the top political traders of 2024," they wrote.
Per the details shared by Unusual Whales on their website, they compiled all Periodic Transaction Reports (PTRs) filed by Congress members this year. The report also highlighted possible conflicts of interest and called for greater transparency on stock trading within the legislative body.
However, the trades that resulted in large gains for the politicians raised concerns for Serena Williams' $150 million-worth husband, Alexis Ohanian. He wrote:
"This feels wrong."
Ohanian, a seasoned entrepreneur, boasts an impressive portfolio of investments. The 41-year-old heads the venture capital firm Seven Seven Six and recently reviewed his noteworthy achievements from the past year.
