Serena Williams was in attendance at the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. The Serb avenged his multiple Wimbledon final losses against the Spaniard with a resounding victory and won his first Olympic gold medal.

Serena Williams has been in Paris since the opening ceremony as she was involved in the Olympic Torch Relay. The American is in the Olympic spirit as she has been spotted at multiple stadiums watching different sports at the event.

Most recently, Williams was spotted at the Court Philippe-Chatrier to watch the men's singles gold medal match between Alcaraz and Djokovic. This was the seventh meeting between the pair and the Serb won the match to bag the gold medal.

This was the first singles Olympics final for both men and they had reached the final without losing a set. Djokovic continued his dominant run at the Games by winning the match 7-6, 7-6 in two hours and 50 minutes.

Both players had multiple break points but they could not convert a single one. However, the Serb dominated both tiebreakers to win Serbia's second gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.

With the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Novak Djokovic became the only fifth player to win the Golden Slam (all four Grand Slam titles and an Olympic singles gold). The other four players on the list include Steffi Graf, Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, and Serena Williams.

During his post-match interview, Djokovic was asked if this Olympic singles gold was the 'missing piece' to his 'puzzle'. He replied positively.

"Yes it is. It is. I’m telling myself always that I am enough. Because I can be very self critical. I don’t know. That’s one of the biggest internal battles I keep on fighting with myself. That I feel like I haven’t done enough or been enough in my life on and off the court," Novak Djokovic said.
"So it’s a big lesson for me. I’m super grateful for the blessing to win a historic gold medal for my country. To complete the golden slam. To complete all the records," he added.

Soon after he earned the winning point against Carlos Alcaraz, Djokovic was in tears but his were of happiness and relief. On the other hand, the young Spaniard met the Serb at the net with a smile but broke down when he sat on his bench and soaked in the feeling of losing out on gold.
