Serena Williams gave her seal of approval to Kendrick Lamar's diss track 'Not Like Us', which was a response to Drake's diss track, 'Family Matters'. The duo has been engaged in conflict since 2013, but the feud got heated in 2024 when the rappers released multiple songs targeting each other.

Recently, Williams made a stylish appearance at the 30th annual Essence Festival of Culture, where she talked about her new beauty brand, Wyn Beauty. During the conversation, the American legend put her support behind Lamar as she complimented his song 'Not Like Us' and called it the 'hit of the summer'.

“Oh, I love that song. It’s the hit of the summer! Whew! When they play that jam, I’m jamming. That jam is jamming,” Williams said.

Williams' affiliation with Lamar isn't out of the ordinary, as Drake took a jibe at her husband Alexis Ohanian in the song 'Middle of the Ocean' in 2022

"Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie/He claim we don’t got a problem but/No, boo, it is, like you comin’ for sushi/We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki," the lyrics read.

Kendrick Lamar, on the other hand, sided with Williams in the song 'Not Like Us', and warned the Canadian rapper not to speak about her.

From Alondra down to Central, n**ga better not speak on Serena," Lamar rapped.

Serena Williams recently gave her opinion about the much-hyped movie 'Challengers'. In an interview with The New York Times, the American talked about the Zendaya-starring movie and said that the movie was good, but she would have preferred a clear ending.

"I thought it was good! I wanted there to be more of an ending. I told Zendaya: 'Listen, is there more? Like, I want more. Did they win?' I mean, I don’t want to give away the ending," she said.

Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, said that the movie was very true to real-life tennis tournaments, adding that it portrayed lesser-talked about aspects of being a tennis player, like codependency.

"I thought it was pretty accurate. Sometimes you can become really connected to whoever you’re with, or “codependent” is a better word. So I actually felt like there was so much accuracy in there about things that we don’t think about as tennis players or even talk about as tennis players. You can also be a loner in tennis, so I don’t know. Listen, I liked the movie. That’s all I can say," she said.

Serena Williams retired from tennis in 2022 after being defeated by Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the US Open.
