Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian recently disclosed that returning to Reddit played a pivotal role in him meeting the former World No. 1 for the first time.

Williams and Ohanian are one of the most popular power couples in the world of tennis. The duo met in May 2015 at the Cavalieri Hotel in Rome and got engaged in 2016 at the same hotel. They had their daughter, Olympia Ohanian, in 2017 and got married in New Orleans later that year.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion and the tech entrepreneur announced her second pregnancy on the red carpet of the 2023 Met Gala. She gave birth to her second daughter Adira River Ohanian on August 22.

Recently, Alexis Ohanian attended the Bank of America VC Summit in New York. During a panel session, he talked about various topics, one of which was the intriguing story of how he met Serena Williams.

Ohanian took to social media and revealed that returning to Reddit in 2014 as executive chairman to help lead the turnaround of the company helped him meet Williams.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional tennis players and throughout her career, she has accomplished nearly everything that can be achieved on the court.

Following the birth of her second child with husband Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams has made the decision to publish a tell-all memoir, delving into the depths of her extraordinary life.

As reported by the Associated Press, the first book will serve as an intimate memoir, delving into the depths of the former World No. 1's life. She will reveal intricate details about her childhood, the early stages of her journey as a tennis prodigy, the formidable challenges she faced throughout her career, and much more.

“For so long, all I was focused on was winning, and I never sat down to look back and reflect on my life and career. Over the last year, I’ve really enjoyed taking the time with my growing family to celebrate my accomplishments and explore my other passions," Williams said in a statement.

"I couldn’t be at a more perfect place to be able to take-on such a personal intimate project, and there’s no one I would rather do it with than the team at Random House,” she added.

The second book, on the other hand, will serve as an "inspirational" work, delving into Serena Williams' philanthropic endeavors, entrepreneurial triumphs, and her commitment to promoting diversity and feminism both within and beyond the realm of sports.
