Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently shared a picture of his ModRetro—a modern take on the Game Boy color that supports all of its cartridges. The 41-year-old was seen enjoying Pokémon Sapphire videogame on the device.

Ohanian, an internet personality and entrepreneur, co-founded the renowned social media platform Reddit in 2005. He later co-founded the venture capital firm Initialized Capital and later established Seven Seven Six, specializing in early-stage tech investments.

Williams' husband also balances his business commitments with moments of enjoyment, as seen when he evoked nostalgia by playing a Pokémon game on his ModRetro Chromatic. He shared the experience on his Instagram story.

Moreover, a video game indirectly inspired Ohanian's business journey. On December 6, Charlie Light, head of content at Enduring Ventures, shared an image of the video game RollerCoaster Tycoon on X, describing it as a childhood favorite that likely shaped many entrepreneurs today. Ohanian agreed, subtly acknowledging its impact on his journey.

Alexis Ohanian also devotes considerable time to his family, particularly his seven-year-old daughter, Olympia. He recently taught her the value of teamwork through an X-Men arcade game, a classic produced by Konami in 1992.

Speaking recently on the 'On Purpose with Jay Shetty' podcast, Alexis Ohanian, discussed the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, suggesting that it could become a superpower in the future. However, he believes it won't replace humans in all areas.

The 41-year-old emphasized his wish for daughters Olympia and Adira to acquire skills that will remain relevant as AI shapes the future of technology.

"There's lots of different areas where AI may not necessarily replace human work, but is going to be an amazing superpower," Ohanian said.
"And so what do I want for my kid, or for even for anyone's kid who's entering a workforce, is probably to most importantly build skills that I know are going to be durable, call it a decade or two from now. So empathy is a skill that I think will be the last bastion of AI," he added.

Ohanian further highlighted that while AI and robotics are advancing, certain professions requiring empathy and human connection will remain essential.

"Like you're seeing, you've probably seen the videos now, of robotics and the leaps and bounds that's starting to make. It's still early days but there are skills, there are professions, were empathy is so, so, so important. And the physicality of being present one human to another where, at least I personally believe if we ever get to that point with AI and robotics, we can pretty much call it as a species," he said.

Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams crossed paths in 2015 and married two years later. Their eldest daughter, Olympia, was born two months before their wedding, while their younger daughter, Adira, arrived in August last year.
