Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently gave a shoutout to Ryan Clark, who famously represented the NFL's Washington Commanders in the 2004, 2005, and 2014 seasons. According to Ohanian, several present-day fans of the NFL are unaware of Clark's skills as a safety, which lit up American football for 13 years.

On Wednesday, December 18, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, who married tennis legend Serena Williams in 2017, took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:

"Some of y'all never actually watched @Realclark25 play ball and it shows..."

Ryan Clark joined the Washington Commanders in July 2004 on a two-year contract worth $835,000 as an unrestricted free agent, having started his NFL career with the New York Giants in 2002. At the time of Clark's joining, the Commanders were officially known as the Washington Redskins, a name that often found itself at the center of controversy because of the term 'redskin.'

Things came to a head in 2020 in the aftermath of the George Floyd protests, and the team was compelled to change its name after facing pressure from sponsors of the NFL and the team itself. It was later rebranded as the Washington Commanders in 2022.

Clark was eventually released by the Commanders following the conclusion of the 2005 season. He resigned with the team in 2014 after a successful eight-year spell with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He became a Super Bowl champion with the Steelers in 2009 and a Pro Bowl champion with the American Football Conference (AFC) in 2012.

Today, the 45-year-old works as an NFL analyst and also has a podcast, 'The Pivot Podcast,' which he created in association with Shots Podcast Network and former NFL colleagues Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor, who are both his close friends.

Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, an NFL fan and also an avid memorabilia collector, recently reacted to the sale of Peyton Manning's rare rookie cards.

Earlier this month, Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, came to know about the sale of Peyton Manning's 1998 Star Rubies rookie cards, which are exceptionally rare. The Reddit co-founder reacted to the development via an Instagram Story, writing:

"I just wanna say this Peyton Manning mean mug photo goes hard. Eli Manning come get your bro"

Ohanian's enthusiasm for sports also extends to women's sports, and he has actively invested in it with a firm belief in its potential. The Reddit co-founder is a co-owner of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team Angel City FC. He has also created Athlos, a women's-only track and field competition.

Athlos' inaugural edition was held in New York earlier this year. Dubbed Athlos NYC, the event offered the most lucrative prize purse in women's track and field history.
