Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, issues strongly worded message after the Commanders' NFL Wild Card playoff win, ft Terry McLaurin

Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently reacted to the Washington Commanders' Wild Card playoff win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The Reddit co-founder also gave a special shoutout to wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

Zane Gonzalez’s 37-yard field goal, which hit the goalpost and bounced in, gave the Washington Commanders a 23-20 Wild Card win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels led a key final drive.

Washington's last playoff victory came 19 years ago during the 2005 season, also against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following the clash, Alexis Ohanian, who was at Raymond James Stadium, tweeted that the curse was finally lifted and it was a memorable night for him.

“A generational curse is lifted. Hail. @Commanders I’m gonna remember this one for a long time,” Ohanian tweeted.

Before the match, Ohanian posted a video of himself wearing a Washington Commanders jersey and cap, cheering on Terry McLaurin from the stands. After the game, he praised the 29-year-old for his hard work and urged the team to fully utilize his star potential through another tweet.

“I warned y’all about Terry. No one deserves this more than him after all those years of GRINDING here — fed your stars,” Serena Williams husband tweeted.

Aside from being a lover of sports, Alexis Ohanian has been public about his love for collecting sports cards. He is a lifelong Washington Commanders fan and an admirer of quarterback Jayden Daniels. In December 2024, the Reddit co-founder offered $200,000 for Daniels' rare True Black Prizm Finite card to add to his trading card collection.
