Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian hilariously made an embarrassing confession after Gabby Thomas revealed a big pet peeve of hers. The interaction took place when the American star athlete added to the list of quickest ways to make a track girl mad.

Athlos NYC, a track and field event that held its inaugural edition this year, recently listed out a list of things that could be considered as a pet peeve for women track athletes such as telling them you could beat them in a race, what type of cleats they wore, and some others.

Olympic champion Gabby Thomas, who took home three Gold medals this year in Paris, added to the list to say how she hated when someone referred to a race as a 'game' on X (formerly Twitter):

"'When is your next game'."

Serena Williams' Alexis Ohanian made an embarrassing confession under Thomas' tweet saying:

"I think I might have said this once."

However, Gabby Thomas laughed the Reddit co-founder's mistake off.

"😂😂😂😂."

It is no secret to sports fans that Ohanian is a huge admirer of women's sports and never shies away from using everything in his arsenal to provide a platform for women athletes. His latest brainchild was Athlos NY which featured star athletes including Thomas

The revolutionary track and field event held its inaugural edition on September 26 at the Icannh stadium and featured six track disciplines - 100m hurdles, 100m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, and 200m. The event stemmed from Ohanian's belief that women's sports needed extensive coverage.

"There’s a history of excellence, especially from American women" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian on how he came up with Athlos NYC

During an interview with Athletics Weekly in July, Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian revealed how his inspiration for Athlos NYC sparked from his investment in Angel City, his football team, in 2019. He realized how football had the tools to keep people hooked and saw a similar potential in track.

"The inspiration [to ATHLOS] came last year. I started feeling the same ‘spidey sense’ that I had in 2019, when women’s soccer, from an investment standpoint, was the biggest opportunity in all of sport. That led me to helping start Angel City. These were the months leading up to the Women’s World Cup. I knew this [soccer] was a sport that everyone would pay attention to and it made no sense to me that people would stop looking at it straight after the World Cup," Serena Williams' husband said.

Ohanian questioned why track and field didn't have a huge impact on the sporting culture outside of the Olympics despite the exhilarating nature of the sport.

"I knew I could market it all day long and I now see the same pattern with track. Here is a sport that every four years, we’re all paying attention to and it’s so exhilarating. There’s a history of excellence, especially from American women, and I thought ‘gosh, what I missing?’ Why is not a part of the cultural psyche outside of the Olympics?"

Gabby Thomas said that Athlos NYC was unlike anything she had ever seen in track.
