Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently reacted to a humorous clip from the docu-series "Offseason" featuring American soccer player Lo’eau LaBonta. In the season finale, the 31-year-old expressed frustration over a practice match defeat. The series' page on social media compared her response to that of people who work the day after the Thanksgiving holidays.
"Offseason," which premiered on October 18, is co-produced by Reddit co-founder Ohanian and NJ/NY Gotham FC forward Midge Purce. The six-episode series offers a glimpse into the lives of 11 National Women's Soccer League players as they train, live, and forge bonds while spending two weeks together during the offseason.
Thanksgiving was celebrated in the United States on Thursday, November 28. As the weekend came to a close, the official Offseason account on Instagram shared a brief clip from the season finale, showcasing LaBonta's disappointment after her team, White, lost a practice match to Team Pink. In the video, the player refused a post-match interview.
The caption to the video read,
"@lomomma is everyone at work the Monday after Thanksgiving."
Alexis Ohanian shared the clip to his Instagram stories and wrote,
"Too soon"
Since its release, the series has garnered significant attention, with Ohanian actively promoting it on social media.
