Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, has issued a bold offer involving Washington Commanders quarterback, Jayden Daniels. Ohanian shed light on his plan to preserve the NFL star's legacy in relation to his own interesting hobby.
Ohanian has been a Washington Commanders fan since childhood, a passion he shares with his father Chris. The Reddit co-founder has frequently displayed his excitement over Jayden Daniels' performances for the Commanders during the season, often expressing his admiration for the 24-year-old and even endorsing him as MVP.
Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently combined his admiration of Jayden Daniels with his hobby of collecting trading cards and offered a $200,000 bounty for the rare True Black Prizm Finite card featuring the quarterback. The 41-year-old shared his determination to add the prized item to his collection.
"Hey there, it’s Alexis Ohanian and I have a $200,000 proposition for you. You see I’ve been a diehard Commanders fan since I was a little kid and I am so excited this year with our franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels just taking care of business," he said.
"And this is the release of the 2024 Panini Prizm football cards and I wanna make sure I get my hands on the very best Jayden Daniels card. So this a $200,000 bounty, if you manage to get the Jayden Daniels True Black Prizm Finite one of one, congratulations. Let me know, send me a DM. You can also DM @altxyzofficial or my guy @action_jack_cardz," he added.
Ohanian also shed light on his plans to have the card professionally graded and vaulted, emphasizing that it would remain safe in his family for generations.
"We’ll organize the pickup and transfer. I am so excited to get my hands on this card, I hope you’ll do me a solid. We’ll get this thing graded. I’ll get it vaulted, it’s not going anywhere. It’s going to be in my family’s collection for forever. I’m very excited about this team, very excited about Jayden and I hope you’ll help me out here and I can delight you with the cool 200 Grand. Thanks," he said.
As a dedicated collector of athlete trading cards, Ohanian has also amassed the world's largest collection of his wife Serena Williams' cards, valued at $2.5 million.
"Museums will want to put pieces of this up" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian on preserving his card collection for their grandchildren
Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, has expressed his desire to preserve his collection of the former World No. 1 trading cards as an heirloom for future generations of their family.
Ohanian emphasized that he wanted his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to have the prerogative to rent the collection to museums instead of witnessing it in someone else's hands.
"The whole plan for this is that like grandkids, great grandkids, they'll have this collection and probably hundred years from now, museums will want to put pieces of this up for the public display," Ohanian said.
"But I don't want our grandkids to ever have to go to museums to see someone else's possession. They should be the ones renting it out. So that's why we got the greatest collection of all time for you [Serena Williams]," he added.
Alexis Ohanian recently poked fun at Carlos Alcaraz for struggling to guess that Serena Williams is featured on the most expensive tennis trading card, which is worth $266,000.
