Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently shared a glimpse of some treasured items in his impressive collection of Marvel memorabilia. The Reddit co-founder gushed over the rare items, showing off his love for superheroes that he shares with Williams.

Ohanian is known for his fascination with collecting unique and interesting items, ranging from trading cards and antique sculptures to vintage games and even a megalodon tooth. In a heartwarming gesture, the 41-year-old announced his decision to auction off a rare Net Pro Rookie Card of Rafael Nadal in honor of the Spaniard's retirement.

Alexis Ohanian recently took to social media and proudly flaunted his vintage 'Spider-Man' and 'Spider-Man 2' game cartridges for the Game Boy Color, along with an "immaculate" edition of the 1992 comic 'X-Men X-Cutioners Song.'

"Even the back is immaculate. Game genie," he posted on his Instagram story.

Interestingly, Alexis Ohanian found "the way to Serena Williams' heart" with his love for Marvel superheroes. The couple reminisced about their first date in the 23-time Grand Slam champion's ESPN docuseries, with Williams disclosing that the Reddit co-founder piqued her interest with his talk of Iron Man during dinner, which sparked a connection.

"During dinner, he started talking about Iron Man and stuff, and Marvel, and that's the way to my heart," Williams said.

The former World No. 1's agent Jill Smoller, who had accompanied the couple on the date, also opened up about how "fascinating" it was to witness Williams and Ohanian bond over their shared love for science fiction, cartoons, and superheroes.

"I mean, it was so fascinating because they both loved the same things. He was into sci-fi and cartoons and superheroes," Smoller said. "I'm like, 'Jesus, she finally can talk to someone who likes the things that she does.'"

Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently put his collectors' hobby on display when he showed off the world's largest collection of the 23-time Grand Slam champion's trading cards, which totaled 4,500 cards and was valued at $2.5 million.

Ohanian explained that he wanted the extensive archive to be passed down to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, ensuring that the cards remained in their family for generations instead of ending up in someone else's hands.

"The whole plan for this is that like grandkids, great grandkids, they'll have this collection and probably hundred years from now, museums will want to put pieces of this up for the public display," Ohanian said.
"But I don't want our grandkids to ever have to go to museums to see someone else's possession. They should be the ones renting it out. So that's why we got the greatest collection of all time for you [Serena Williams]," he added.

Despite his interest in preserving Serena Williams' tennis legacy, Alexis Ohanian recently admitted that he had never played the sport himself but humorously expressed his willingness to serve as a ball boy for their daughter Olympia.
