Serena Williams' husband and Reddit-co founder Alexis Ohanian recently shared a humorous reason behind his daughter Olympia's unique fashion choice on the golf course. The internet had a field day with the adorable sight of Olympia, clad in tennis attire, wielding a golf club with surprising finesse.

On December 29, Alexis Ohanian shared a clip of his older daughter's golf practice on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, the seven-year-old was seen confidently swinging a golf club, dressed in attire more commonly seen on a tennis court.

The clip caught the attention of fans, prompting light-hearted comments and curiosity about her outfit choice. One fan humorously pointed out that Olympia's outfit was more suited for a tennis court than a golf course, writing:

"The outfit is giving more tennis than golf though."

Ohanian humorously responded, clarifying that Olympia had come straight from tennis practice.

"Tennis practice came first 😏," Ohanian wrote.

Ohanian also posted the video on his Instagram stories, offering additional details about Olympia's athletic talents. According to him, the seven-year-old inherited her height from her father, her athletic abilities from her mother, and her golf swing from her coach, Brittany Ferrante.

In a March 2023 interview with CBS, Serena Williams shared her disappointment that her seven-year-old daughter Olympia doesn’t have a passion for tennis, even though she’s naturally talented at the sport.

"Olympia doesn't actually like to play tennis too much," Serena Willliams said on the CBS show 'Person to Person with Norah O'Donnell.

"That's a little disappointing for me, but she's actually really good at it. So we are trying to figure out a way to get her to play a little bit."

Williams then explained her approach to sparking Olympia's interest in tennis. She suggested that Olympia might enjoy it more if she played in a group setting, as she loves being social and spending time with her friends.

"So we are trying to figure out a way to get her to play a little bit. Olympia loves being social...She loves being around friends, she loves going to school. Maybe I can push her into tennis by getting other kids to have a group lesson, I think that's what I'm gonna do...I really want her to play at least a little bit, because she's actually really good at it," she added.

Serena Williams retired from professional tennis in 2022. Her final match was in the third round of the 2022 US Open, where she faced Australian tennis star Ajla Tomljanovic and lost with scores of 5-7, 7-6 (4), 1-6.
