Serena Williams' husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian couldn't contain his excitement as he lauded popular YouTuber MKBHD aka Marques Brownlee for showcasing the cutting-edge technology behind the TGL (Tomorrow's Golf League). Ohanian also rallied support for his team in the innovative league co-founded by golfing legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
The TGL, an interactive golf league, brings a futuristic twist to the sport, merging traditional gameplay with advanced simulation technology. Ohanian, a tech enthusiast and the owner of the Los Angeles Golf Club, is a key figure in this venture.
His club, which includes co-owners Serena Williams, their daughters Olympia and Adira River, and Venus Williams, has attracted a star-studded group of investors like basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo, soccer star Alex Morgan, and LPGA star Michelle Wie West. The club boasts an impressive roster of four PGA Tour athletes: Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood.
On January 7, 2025, Ohanian reshared MKBHD's comprehensive video on his Instagram story, applauding the YouTuber for the detailed breakdown of the TGL’s technological marvels.
"Great @tglgolf breakdown by @mkbhd – if y'all haven't picked a team to support yet, pick mine!" Ohanian wrote.

In the TGL, six teams composed of four PGA Tour players each will compete in a blend of simulator and traditional golf. The league's premiere venue, the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, features a state-of-the-art setup, including a massive golf simulator screen and a morphing green, covering an area nearly the size of a football field. This tech-infused arena allows players to hit from real grass tee boxes into a giant simulation screen.
TGL prepares to debut with the New York Golf Club facing off against the Bay Golf Club on January 7 and Jupiter Links Golf Club featuring Tiger Woods against the Los Angeles Golf Club on January 14.
