American entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, who is married to 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, has reached out to golfing great Tiger Woods to offer encouragement ahead of the debut of Tomorrow's Golf League (TGL) next year. Woods, who has a net worth of $800 million (via Celebrity Net Worth), one of the minds behind the highly-anticipated tech-infused league and is slated to take part in the event.

Amid the mounting anticipation, ESPN shared video footage of Woods taking a swing in a golf simulator. Notably, the league will feature a 64 feet by 46 feet screen for tee shots and approach play.

"Get those reps in, my friend! Season starts Jan 7, but @WeAreLAGC (Los Angeles Golf Club) goes against @TigerWoods+ @JupiterLinksGC (Jupiter Links Golf Club) on JAN 14 on ESPN/ESPN+," Ohanian wrote, in a response.

The tech-infused league will include six teams, comprised of three PGA Tour players. Woods, a 15-time major winner, will represent the Jupiter Links Golf Club, which he co-owns alongside American investor David Blitzer.

The TGL is being launched by TMRW Sports, a venture formed by sports executive Mike McCarley, Woods, and another major winner Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour.

Meanwhile, fans have lauded Woods' swing, with some noting that it is the best they have seen him swing a golf club in years.

Alexis Ohanian came to prominence in 2005 for co-founding Reddit. Since selling in 2006 for around $10 million, Ohanian has ventured into several other businesses, many of them involving sports.

Therefore, it hardly came as a surprise when the 41-year-old weighed in on the PGA's latest big move: collaborations with golf content creators, including Paige Spiranac. The golf influencer, who also briefly played professional golf, has millions of followers across her social media accounts.

"The Creator Council will discuss fan engagement strategies, collaborative content opportunities, the evolution of the Creator Classic, and much more," the PGA Tour announced earlier this month.

Ohanian commented the decision, hailing it as a "very smart move."

Ohanian has also invested heavily in women's sports. Recently, he made the biggest-ever donation to the women's basketball team at the University of Virginia, his alma mater.

"I am proud to support the women's program at my alma meter with this donation," he said of his decision (via ESPN). "It's time to bring the nation's best hoops talent to Charlottesville and win some championships in the next four years."

Alexis Ohanian is also the man behind 'Athlos', a track-and-field event for women that seeks to revolutionize how the disciplines are viewed.
