Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian used a 'pointing up' emoji as the Milwaukee Bucks announced tongue-in-cheek that they were 'back up'. The Bucks resoundingly clinched their spot in the knockouts of the 2024 NBA Cup.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been playing tremendous basketball lately and are currently on a seven-game win streak. They won all four of their group-stage matches of the 2024 NBA Cup, scoring wins against the Toronto Raptors, the Indiana Pacers, the Miami Heat, and the Detroit Pistons to reach the quarterfinals, where they will play the Orlando Magic.

The Bucks' page on X (formerly Twitter) posted a meme to announce that they had made it back-to-back knockouts in the NBA Cup.

Serena Williams' Alexis Ohanian responded to the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led side's post with a 'pointing up' emoji. The Bucks had made it to the semifinals last year but fell to the Indiana Pacers.

Alexis Ohanian has often hailed Giannis Antetokounmpo on social media for his character. He recently praised the NBA star for gifting a young fan his signed shoes, adding a video to his Instagram story where he wrote,

"My guy Giannis Antetokounmpo always looking out for the kids."

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brother Thanasis lost their father Charles on September 29, 2017, due to a heart attack. To honor their father's legacy, the two brothers started the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF) in 2017. Charles was a professional football player.

On Charles' seventh death anniversary, the foundation decided to host a game of golf. One of the people present at the game was Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian. Giannis shared some highlights from the day on X and wrote,

"Thank you for coming out and supporting my family! 7 years ago today our dad went to heaven and we started CAFF to honor his legacy, I know he’s looking down and he’s proud 🙏🏽," Antetokounmpo wrote.

Ohanian responded to Giannis' heartfelt message, hailing the NBA star as the 'real deal'.

"Getting to know Giannis, Thanasis, and their family over the years has been a joy (and inspiring as hell) — he's the real deal and I'm so happy to be a Day Zero supporter of his foundation, honoring his dad's great legacy," Serena Williams' husband wrote.

Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian, their daughter Olympia, Venus Williams, Giannis Antetokounmpo, the NBA star's three brothers, and a few other noteworthy celebrities like Shonda Rhimes own the Los Angeles Golf Club team in the TGL.
