Serena Williams is widely considered to be one of the greatest tennis players of all time. While the American might have called time on her career two years ago, she still has a pretty hectic schedule, as she shared with fans in a recent video.
Williams has established herself as a game-changer in tennis, winning 23 major singles titles and spending 319 weeks ranked No.1 in the world. Now, after retiring from the sport in 2022, the tennis star maintains a pretty busy schedule, exploring new adventures outside of tennis.
She recently shared a video of a day in her life, where she can be seen attending the DealBook Summit in New York in the morning, before flying out to Florida later that same day for a Audemars Piguet x Vanity Fair event. The tennis star sarcastically remarked that this was a 'relaxed' day for her, captioning the video,
“Them: “how was your day? Me: “oh, you know the usual. Pretty relaxed.”
Serena Williams dominated the women's singles game for two decades. In 1999, she won her first major title—the US Open. The 42-year-old would go on to claim 22 more Grand Slam titles. The American experienced the most success at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, where she won seven titles each. She also claimed six US Open titles and three French Open wins.
Williams was also a strong doubles player, winning 14 Grand Slam women's doubles titles partnered with sister Venus Williams. The duo clinched three Olympic gold medals together.
Serena Williams shares a day in her life as a mom
When she's not flying across the country to attend multiple events, Serena Williams is busy being a mom to her two daughters, Olympia and Adira. Williams welcomed Olympia in 2017 and gave birth to Adira in 2018.
The tennis star shared regular updates about her life as a mom of two with fans, and she most recently gave them glimpses of a ‘special day’ she spent with Olympia. Taking to X, Williams posted a video where she lets Olympia blindly choose between two activities, with the mother-daughter duo taking a trip to an escape room, eating out at McDonald's, getting a pedicure, playing with Adira, and more.
She captioned the video,
“I wanted to give Olympia a special day. She did cry when she pulled the homework card, but the day got better.”
Outside of her motherhood duties, Serena Williams has explored many different avenues since her retirement. She has founded the venture capital firm Serena Ventures, makeup brand Wyn Beauty, and multimedia production company Nine Two Six Productions amongst other things.
