Serena Williams savagely trolls Tiger Woods during LAGC's crushing win over Links on TGL debut

Serena Williams trolled Tiger Woods after the latter finally managed to make a putt during LAGC (Los Angeles Golf Club) and JLGC's (Jupiter Links Golf Club) season opener in the TGL (TRW Golf League). Williams attained bragging rights over the Golf legend after her LAGC clinched a dominant victory win.

The inaugural TGL season kicked off on January 7 between New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club with the latter winning 2-9. The second match was played on January 14 between Williams' team LAGC and Woods' team JLGC. However, the highly-anticipated battle ended with Williams' team crushing JLGC with a resounding 12-1 win.

During the match, a hilarious moment took place where Serena Williams hilariously trolled Tiger Woods. When LAGC was boasting a 5-0 lead, Woods finally managed to clinch a point for his team by making a putt. The 23-time Major champion jokingly remarked:

"It's about time Tiger."

Wood's mother Kultida was adorably seen celebrating her son scoring his team's first point.

LAGC's roster featured Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegla while JLGC's team starred Kevin Kisner, Max Homa, and the 15-time Major champion Tiger Woods.

The TGL is the brainchild of the sports executive Mike McCarley and the professional golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGPA Tour. It is created by the TMRW group.

The LAGC is not only owned by Serena Williams but also by her husband Alexis Ohanian, their children Olympia and Adira, and Serena's sister Venus Williams. Ohanian was elated by LAGC's triumphant start to their inaugural campaign and took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate the win.

A fan opined how the opening two matches of the TGL being lopsided wasn't favorable for the league under Ohanian's tweet.

"The lopsidedness of the last two matches have not been great," the fan opined.

The Reddit co-founder responded by agreeing with the above user and mentioning what the primary goal for the league is.

"Agreed! Let’s see what happens next week. But we def want this league to be competitive af and we’re building from scratch here so nothing sacred - goal is entertainment excellence."

Ohanian also shared the contrasting emotions shown by him and his wife Serena Williams during LAGC's season opener. While Williams had a calm demeanor, Ohanian's excitement was betrayed by his facial expressions.

LAGC is set to face Boston Common Golf on February 4.
