Serena Williams recently teased her husband Alexis Ohanian with a new challenge about playing baseball with kids Olympia and Adira in a unique way. Williams and Ohanian tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed Olympia the same year. They had their second daughter Adira in 2023.

Williams and Ohanian frequently share insights from their parenthood journey on social media. Recently, the American tennis legend gave a friendly challenge to the Reddit co-founder about playing baseball with their daughters.

Williams took to Instagram and shared a video of a father who used a fishing rod to play baseball. The man in the video stuck a ball to the fish hook and suspended it in the air, allowing the kid to hit the ball. Then the father rolled back the rope, ready for the second hit.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion found the video funny and issued a friendly challenge to her husband to recreate this with their daughters.

Serena Williams recently sat down for an interview with The New York Times and talked about her daughter Olympia having the athlete gene and how she is having a hard time trying to push her daughter like her father did.

Williams said that she wanted her children to relax and does not want to over-push them.

"I’m like, Oh, they’re so cute. I just want them to relax and I don’t want to over-push them. But I would be devastated if I wasn’t pushed, because we wouldn’t be having this interview and there would never have been a Serena Williams," she told The New York Times.

The American added that she was experiencing a hard time trying to push her children, like she was pushed in her childhood.

"But for whatever reason, I’m having a hard time connecting to that extra push, and that’s something I’ve been trying to figure out myself, how to give that extra motivation to my daughters, because it’s definitely worth it, I can confirm from experience," she said.

Talking about her daughter, Olympia, Serena said that she was very athletic, so much so, that even Venus Williams complemented her talent.

"The 8-month-old is so tiny, but Olympia is such a bright light, and she’s so athletic, to the point where it’s just not even humanly possible. Even Venus, she was like, “That kid has more talent than you and I combined,” and she’s not lying," Serena said.
