Caroline Wozniacki recently talked about her three-year-old daughter Olivia being able to recognize her while watching her matches on TV. The former World No. 1, who came out of retirement last year, also disclosed that she draws a lot of motivation from her daughter's fanfare.

Wozniacki has endured a tough season on the WTA Tour this year, only winning seven of her 14 matches. Her best performance so far came at the BNP Paribas Open in March, where she won four matches before losing in the quarterfinals to World No. 1 Iga Swiatek.

Caroline Wozniacki recently spoke to Yahoo Sports about a variety of topics, including her children, Olivia (3) and James (1), watching her matches. The 33-year-old admitted that while taking care of them and traveling on the pro tour at the same time was tough, the fact that her daughter was aware that the Dane was adept at playing tennis meant a lot to her.

"It’s just so special and something I never thought I’d have the opportunity to do. It’s very hard as well because it’s like having two full-time jobs. It’s definitely exhausting, but it’s definitely worth it," Caroline Wozniacki said. "My son is too young but Olivia does understand. She’ll tell everyone when she watches tennis on TV, ‘My mum plays tennis and she’s so good’. She’s my hype woman and I love it."

Caroline Wozniacki also touched upon her father Piotr lashing out at the French Open and the WTA Tour two months ago over her not receiving a wildcard in the main draw. Believing there wasn't enough respect from tennis towards the former World No. 1, he also claimed that the former World No. 1 would walk away from the sport in 2025.

The 2018 Australian Open champion insisted her father may have gotten carried away with his comments. Moreover, Wozniacki also said that various tournaments had been in favor of her comeback.

"I think sometimes my dad gets a little ahead of himself. It’s definitely not something we’ve talked about," Caroline Wozniacki said. "I think I’ve been treated very well. The tournaments have really embraced me coming back and with kids."

That said, Wozniacki also wished for more provisions for women who returned to pro tennis from their maternity leaves, which are usually longer than an injury layoff.

"Where I do share my view, and where a lot of other women on tour share the view, is I think there should be more done for women coming back from maternity leave," she added. "It has been looked at because obviously there’s more players now that want to come back but, at the same time, it’s not the same as coming back from an injury."

Caroline Wozniacki recently competed at the Birmingham Classic, where she lost 6-4, 6-1 to Elise Mertens in the first round. The Dane will next compete at the Bad Homburg Open, which starts on June 24.
