Eugenie Bouchard recently shared a 'crazy' incident she was a part of during Game 4 of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Canadian was excited to have picked up a foul ball during the match, but when she realized how the ball reached her, she was stunned.
Bouchard attended Game 4 of the World Series in New York, with the Dodgers one game away from winning the whole thing. However, the Yankees bounced back in Game 4 to clinch a resounding 11-4 win.
During the match, the 30-year-old picked up a foul ball that landed near her foot, much to her delight. However, she soon realized that the ball had ricocheted off a lady's face, who was bleeding and had possibly broken a bone in her face. This incident led to a huge ruckus.
"Ok crazy story time: a foul ball comes our way, people scramble, it’s mayhem, and it ends up literally next to my shoe. I pick it up, yay! My first World Series game ever and I catch a foul ball! Then I realize there is chaos in the row in front of us, it turns out the ball ricocheted off a poor lady’s face. It got her in the eye, she is bent over, totally swelling and bleeding profusely, and she can’t stand up," Eugenie Bouchard wrote.
She clarified that the medics arrived immediately and took the lady away for treatment. Bouchard took a picture with the ball and gave it to the woman who got hit, since she felt the lady was more deserving of getting it.
"The medics arrive thankfully immediately to carry her out. I manage to take a pic with my ball then I hand it to her on her way out. If it possibly broke a bone in her face she deserves it more than me. I didn’t catch her name but if you see this hope you are doing better and on the road to recovery!" Bouchard further wrote.
Bouchard also attended a Halloween party a day before attending Game 4 of the World Series.
Eugenie Bouchard goes 'Clueless' as she celebrates Halloween donning an outfit similar to the popular movie character
Eugenie Bouchard attended a Halloween party at the Star Island in Miami. She wore a canary yellow dress with a matching yellow and black chequered shirt and skirt. She coupled this with a pair of white-colored high-knee socks and white-colored high heels. She also added a white-colored fluffy bag to her outfit.
This look has a striking similarity to that of Cher Horowitz, played by Alicia Silverstone in the movie Clueless.
Eugenie Bouchard is currently juggling life as a professional in two sports, tennis and pickleball. On the tennis side of things, she was last seen in action at the National Bank Open, where she lost in the qualifiers.
