Carlos Alcaraz recently called his rival Holger Rune the biggest trash talker on the men's tour during a fun segment with ATP. The Spaniard indulged in a fun game of 'Honest answers only' where he was asked dicey questions which he had to answer honestly.

Alcaraz is currently riding high on the success of clinching the Channel Slam - winning the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year. The 21-year-old has won four Grand Slams, and Masters 1000 titles, and is already a former World No.1 in his short career.

The World No. 3 recently participated in a fun segment by ATP called 'Down the T with Sharky', hosted by the popular YouTuber Sharky from Beta Squad. The Spaniard played a game of 'Honest answers only' where he was asked questions and he had to quickly give his honest opinions.

Some of the questions were 'Who's the toughest competitor?', 'Who's the funniest in the locker room?', 'Who's got the best forehand?', 'Who's the GOAT?', and so on. The Spaniard was also asked who the biggest trash talker on the tour was.

"Who's the biggest trash talker?"

Carlos Alcaraz named Holger Rune as the biggest trash talker on the tour but immediately apologized for his comments. He mentioned that it was what he felt.

“(Holger) Rune. Sorry, sorry but that’s what I… that’s what I thought,” Alcaraz said.

Their second meeting came in 2022 in the quarterfinals of the Paris Masters where Alcaraz had to retire midway as a result of discomfort in his abdominal region bringing the match to an unfortunate end and sending the Dane into the semifinals. Rune defeated Novak Djokovic in the final from a set down to win his only Masters 1000 title.

Their most recent meeting came in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships where the Spaniard blitzed past the Dane 7-6(3), 6-4, 6-4, and went on to defeat Djokovic in a five-set thriller to clinch the title.
